IndexChex policies: guarantees, refunds, credits
Published · By IndexChex
In brief
IndexChex guarantees that Googlebot crawls submitted URLs but does not guarantee indexing, which is Google's decision. Credits are not refunded for unindexed URLs; refunds may apply to billing errors, unauthorized charges, undelivered credits or significant platform defects. Pack credits do not expire while the account is active; plan credits roll over up to 2x.
Crawling is guaranteed, indexing is not
IndexChex separates two outcomes that are often blurred. Crawling is Googlebot fetching a URL. Indexing is Google deciding to store that URL and make it eligible to appear in search. IndexChex guarantees the first. It does not guarantee the second, because the decision is made by Google on quality and technical grounds that no submission service controls.
Typical reasons a crawled URL stays out of the index include thin or duplicate content, a noindex directive, a canonical pointing elsewhere, or Google judging the page not worth storing. The published average indexation rates on the claims ledger describe typical URLs; they are not a promise for any particular job. How those averages are obtained is on the methodology page.
Refunds
The governing text is the IndexChex refunds and returns policy. Its main points:
| Situation | Outcome |
|---|---|
| A submitted URL is not indexed | No refund, no automatic credit return |
| A URL indexes more slowly than expected | No refund |
| Indexing rate lower than hoped or than before | No refund |
| Search engine algorithm changes affect results | No refund |
| Change of mind after credits are delivered | No refund |
| Billing error or duplicate charge | Refund may be available |
| Unauthorized charge | Refund may be available |
| Credits paid for but not delivered | Refund may be available |
| Significant platform defect | Refund or other remedy may be available |
Non-indexing alone is not considered a defect, billing error or service failure, unless IndexChex states otherwise in a separate written offer. Where a remedy is appropriate, it may take the form of a correction, replacement credits, a partial refund or a full refund. Mandatory consumer rights under local law are not limited by the policy.
How to request a refund
Requests go to support@indexchex.com and should include the account email, the transaction or invoice reference, the purchase date, a description of the issue and any screenshots. Billing errors, delivery problems and platform defects should be reported within 60 days of the transaction or of discovering the issue, whichever is later.
Chargebacks
The policy asks customers to contact support before opening a chargeback. While a dispute is under review, account access or purchased credits may be suspended.
Credit expiry and rollover
| Credit source | Expiry | Rollover |
|---|---|---|
| One-time pack | Does not expire with time while the account is active and in good standing | Not applicable |
| Monthly plan | May be forfeited when the subscription ends | Rolls over while active, capped at 2x the current plan's monthly allotment |
Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or resold, and can be used only on IndexChex. A worked example of the rollover cap is on the credit system page, and the costs credits are spent on are on the specifications page.
Credits returned automatically
One case returns credits without a request: a scheduled re-check reserves 1 credit per URL when the submission is created, and those credits are returned if the re-check is cancelled. See scheduled checks.
Other commitments
- No Indexing API. IndexChex does not route URLs through Google's Indexing API.
- No spam networks. IndexChex states that its methods do not connect submitted URLs to link pyramids or spam networks.
- No free trial. There is no trial and no signup credit; the price list starts at $19.99.
Account suspension
Accounts may be suspended or terminated under the terms of service for fraud, abuse or material violations, and unused credits may be forfeited if a violation is confirmed. If a suspension was applied in error, access or credits are restored. If IndexChex discontinues the service for reasons unrelated to the customer, the policy commits to handling unused paid credits reasonably, which may include continued access, replacement value or a refund.
FAQ
Will IndexChex refund credits if my URLs do not index?
No. Non-indexing alone is not treated as a defect or billing error, so it does not return credits or money.
When can I get a refund from IndexChex?
Refunds may be available for billing errors, unauthorized charges, credits that were paid for and not delivered, and significant platform defects, plus any rights your local law makes mandatory.
How long do I have to report a billing problem?
Within 60 days of the transaction or of discovering the issue, whichever is later, unless the law allows longer. Reports go to support@indexchex.com.
What happens to subscription credits if I cancel?
Subscription credits may be forfeited when the subscription ends. Pack credits are not affected by cancelling a plan.
